Léo Pereira

Léo Pereira is a Brazilian centre-back who has become one of Flamengo's defensive pillars since joining the club in 2020, winning two Copa Libertadores titles and earning his first senior Brazil call-up in 2026.

A product of Atlético Paranaense's academy, Léo Pereira spent several seasons in Curitiba with loan spells at Guaratinguetá, Náutico and Orlando City before establishing himself as a starter. Flamengo signed him in January 2020 for €6.1 million and he quickly became indispensable, finishing the 2025 season with 63 appearances, 6 goals and a 92% pass completion rate.

He has won the Copa Libertadores twice with Flamengo — in 2022 and 2025 — and has collected domestic titles including two Campeonato Brasileiro and two Copa do Brasil. His 2025 season was recognised with the Bola de Prata, the Campeonato Brasileiro Team of the Year and the Copa Libertadores Team of the Tournament. He made his senior Brazil debut in March 2026 and was selected for the 2026 World Cup squad.
