Mert Günok

Mert Günok is a veteran Turkish goalkeeper who has won Süper Lig titles with Fenerbahçe and İstanbul Başakşehir across a two-decade career. He was Turkey's starting goalkeeper at UEFA Euro 2024, making a crucial save against Austria in the round of 16.

Günok began his senior career at Fenerbahçe, winning league titles in 2010–11 and 2013–14 along with two Turkish Cup medals. After spells at Bursaspor and İstanbul Başakşehir — where he was part of the surprise title-winning side of 2019–20 — he joined Beşiktaş in 2021, winning a further Turkish Cup in 2023–24.

He rejoined Fenerbahçe in January 2026. For Turkey's national team he has made 37 appearances and was first choice at Euro 2024, where his save helped eliminate Austria in the knockout round.
