Ousmane Diomande

Ousmane Diomande is a commanding centre-back who joined Sporting CP from Midtjylland and quickly became one of the Primeira Liga's standout defenders, helping Ivory Coast win the 2023 AFCON.

Diomande grew up in Abidjan and moved to Denmark with FC Midtjylland's academy system. After a loan to Mafra, Sporting CP signed him permanently in 2023, and he became a key figure in the Lisbon club's back four, winning consecutive Primeira Liga titles in 2024 and 2025 and adding the Taça de Portugal in 2025.

He was part of the Ivory Coast squad that won the 2023 AFCON and by the 2026 World Cup had earned 15 senior caps.
