Remo Freuler

Remo Freuler is a composed Swiss midfielder nicknamed the 'Iceman' who made 203 appearances for Atalanta over six seasons and holds 88 senior caps for Switzerland, including a decisive goal against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup.

Freuler progressed through Swiss clubs before joining Atalanta in 2016, where his composure under pressure earned him his nickname. Over six seasons he became a key part of one of Serie A's most dynamic midfields. He joined Nottingham Forest in 2022 before moving to Bologna FC.

At Bologna he won the 2024–25 Coppa Italia. For Switzerland he has been a regular since 2017, appearing at multiple World Cups and European Championships and scoring the match-sealing goal against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup.
