Willy Semedo

Willy Semedo is a French-born Cape Verdean winger who has played across Cyprus, Belgium, Romania and France, and delivered his finest club form at AC Omonia, where he scored 14 goals and added 7 assists in 2023–24 and helped win the Cypriot First Division in 2025–26.

Semedo launched his professional career with Alki Oroklini in Cyprus (96 appearances), before moving through clubs in Belgium (Charleroi, Roeselare), Romania (Politehnica Iași), France (Grenoble) and Saudi Arabia (Al-Faisaly). He returned to Cyprus with AC Omonia, turning in his best individual season in 2023–24 with 14 goals and 7 assists in 38 games.

He made his Cape Verde debut in October 2020 and has represented the country at multiple Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers, earning 33 caps with 2 goals.
