Abdulaziz Hatem

Abdulaziz Hatem is a Qatari midfielder and longtime national team captain who has spent his entire professional career in the Qatar Stars League. He was a key figure in Qatar's back-to-back AFC Asian Cup victories in 2019 and 2023.

Hatem came through the domestic system and joined Al-Arabi SC, where he made over 80 league appearances between 2007 and 2015. He then moved to Al-Gharafa SC before joining Al Rayyan SC in 2019, accumulating over 100 appearances for the club.

On the international stage, he made his debut for Qatar in December 2009 and went on to earn more than 120 caps, captaining the side. He was named in the Team of the Tournament at both the 2019 AFC Asian Cup and the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
