Alireza Jahanbakhsh

Alireza Jahanbakhsh is one of Iran's most experienced internationals, a versatile attacker who became the first Asian player to top the scoring charts in a major European league when he finished as Eredivisie top scorer in 2017–18.

After early years with Damash Gilan and NEC, Jahanbakhsh thrived at AZ Alkmaar before signing for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018. He moved to Feyenoord in 2021 and won the Eredivisie title in 2022–23, then had a spell at Heerenveen before joining Belgian side Dender in 2025.

Internationally he has earned 98 caps and 17 goals for Iran, competing in three FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022) and featuring in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Team of the Tournament.
