Aníbal Godoy

Aníbal Godoy is Panama's long-serving defensive midfielder and captain, having earned over 150 international caps in a career that has spanned MLS clubs including San Jose Earthquakes, Nashville SC, and San Diego FC.

Godoy came through Chepo F.C. in Panama (2007–2013) before earning a move to Hungarian side Budapest Honvéd. In 2015 he signed with San Jose Earthquakes, spending four seasons as a cornerstone of their midfield. He then joined Nashville SC for the expansion club's first four MLS seasons (2020–2024).

After Nashville, he signed with fellow MLS expansion club San Diego FC in December 2024. Internationally he captains Panama and has been a regular at CONCACAF Gold Cups.
