Bart Verbruggen

A young Dutch goalkeeper who established himself as the Netherlands' first choice after developing at Anderlecht and joining Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023. At just 23, he is considered the long-term future of Dutch goalkeeping.

Verbruggen came through NAC Breda's youth system before joining Anderlecht, where he was named club Player of the Season for 2022–23 and produced notable displays in European competition. Brighton & Hove Albion signed him in July 2023 on a five-year deal.

He quickly became Brighton's first-choice keeper and accumulated over 90 Premier League appearances before being called into the Netherlands senior squad, representing the country at UEFA Euro 2024 where the team reached the semi-finals.
