Bekhruz Karimov

Bekhruz Karimov is a teenage Uzbek defender who progressed rapidly through youth football to earn senior club football at FC Surkhon and make his first appearances for the Uzbekistan national team in 2026. He was selected for Uzbekistan's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad despite suffering a leg fracture in May 2026.

Karimov began his professional career at FC Olympic Tashkent before joining FC Surkhon in 2025, where he made 22 appearances and scored 3 goals in his debut season. His performances across multiple Uzbekistan youth sides — from U16 through to U23 — earned him a rapid international promotion.

He made his senior debut for Uzbekistan in 2026 and was subsequently included in the preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His selection came despite a leg fracture requiring surgery in May 2026, underlining the confidence the coaching staff have in his abilities.
