Brian Brobbey

A Dutch striker of Ghanaian descent who came through Ajax's famous academy and was named Ajax Player of the Year for 2023–24. He joined Sunderland in September 2025 and has been capped at senior level for the Netherlands.

Brobbey made his Ajax senior debut in 2020 and won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup in 2020–21. A loan to RB Leipzig in 2021 was followed by a permanent return to Ajax, where he finished the 2023–24 season with 22 goals and was named the club's player of the year.

He transferred to Sunderland for around €20 million in September 2025. At youth level he won back-to-back UEFA Under-17 European Championship titles (2018 and 2019), and he has gone on to make his mark in the Netherlands senior squad.
