Carney Chukwuemeka

An Austrian attacking midfielder born in Vienna to Nigerian parents, who represented England at youth level before switching allegiance to Austria at senior level in 2026. He plays for Borussia Dortmund.

Chukwuemeka came through the academies of Northampton Town and Aston Villa, making his Villa debut in 2021 and winning the UEFA European Under-19 Championship with England U19 in 2022. Chelsea signed him for a substantial fee in August 2022, where he made 23 league appearances over two seasons.

In February 2025 he joined Borussia Dortmund on loan, a move made permanent in August 2025. He switched senior international allegiance to Austria in March 2026 and has since earned 3 caps.
