Deroy Duarte

Deroy Duarte is a Dutch-born midfielder of Cape Verdean heritage who has represented Cape Verde internationally since 2023 and plays for Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad. He is the younger brother of fellow Cape Verde international Laros Duarte.

Duarte came through Sparta Rotterdam's youth ranks and went on to make 115 senior appearances for the club. After leaving Sparta he moved to Fortuna Sittard, accumulating 92 appearances over three seasons, before joining Ludogorets Razgrad in Bulgaria in June 2024.

He represented Cape Verde at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and was included in the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
