Derrick Luckassen

Derrick Luckassen is an Amsterdam-born centre-back of Ghanaian descent who played in the Netherlands for AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven before moving abroad and settling at Pafos FC in Cyprus. He was called into Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Luckassen came through AZ Alkmaar's academy and made 69 league appearances for the first team before PSV signed him in 2017. Loan spells at Hertha BSC, Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa, and Fatih Karagümrük followed before he departed PSV.

He spent two seasons at Maccabi Tel Aviv and then joined Pafos FC in Cyprus in 2024, winning the Cypriot First Division in 2024–25. A replacement call-up gave him his first Ghana cap ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
