Djed Spence

Djed Spence is an English right-back who plays for Tottenham Hotspur. He burst onto the scene with a standout loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2021–22, earning EFL Championship Player of the Month, before Spurs signed him permanently for £20 million.

Spence progressed through Fulham's academy and joined Middlesbrough in 2018. His career-defining loan move to Nottingham Forest in 2021–22 helped the club win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, and he was named in the Championship Team of the Season. After loan spells at Rennais, Leeds United, and Genoa, he established himself at Tottenham from late 2024. He won the UEFA Europa League with Tottenham in 2024–25, and became the first Muslim player to receive a senior England call-up, earning 4 caps to date.
