Fabian Rieder

Fabian Rieder is a Swiss attacking midfielder from Koppigen who was named Swiss Super League Player of the Year in 2022 after a standout campaign at Young Boys, before moving to Rennes and then FC Augsburg.

Rieder made his professional debut for Young Boys in October 2020 and established himself as one of Swiss football's brightest young talents, earning a double Player of the Year honour in 2022 across 89 league appearances. He transferred to Rennes in August 2023 for approximately €15 million.

After a loan to VfB Stuttgart he signed permanently with FC Augsburg in 2025, winning the DFB-Pokal in his debut season. He holds 28 senior caps for Switzerland.
