Gustavo Gómez

Gustavo Gómez is a professional Paraguayan defender who plays as a centre-back for and captains both Palmeiras and the Paraguay national team.

Gómez played for Libertad and Lanús, winning titles with both, before joining AC Milan in 2016. In 2018, he moved to Palmeiras, captaining them to multiple Brasileirão, Copa Libertadores, and Campeonato Paulista titles.

A full international since 2013, he has represented Paraguay at multiple Copa América tournaments as captain and is the defender with the most goals in Palmeiras history.
