Gustavo Velázquez

Paraguayan centre-back who began his professional career at Cerro Porteño in 2012 and has played across South America and Mexico. Made his Paraguay debut in June 2024 and was selected for the 2024 Copa América and 2026 World Cup squads.

Velázquez started his career at Cerro Porteño in 2012 and has since represented multiple clubs across Paraguay, Argentina (Newell's Old Boys), and Mexico (FC Juárez). He has returned to Cerro Porteño in 2025.

He made his senior Paraguay debut on 7 June 2024 in a friendly against Peru and scored his only international goal against Panama. He was included in Paraguay's squads for both the 2024 Copa América and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
