Isak Hien

Swedish centre-back who won the UEFA Europa League with Atalanta in 2024 and was named Swedish Defender of the Year, having made an unconventional switch from striker to defender at age 21.

Hien began as a striker before transitioning to centre-back at 21. He progressed through Vasalunds IF and Djurgårdens IF before joining Hellas Verona in 2022. Atalanta signed him in January 2024, and he won the UEFA Europa League in his debut season.

He made his Sweden senior debut in September 2022 and has earned 29 caps without scoring. He was selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
