L'histoire

Jean Michaël Seri is an elegant deep-lying playmaker from Ivory Coast's south-west coast whose creative talent earned him high-profile moves to Fulham and Galatasaray, and who was named in the AFCON 2023 Team of the Tournament.

Seri came through ASEC Mimosas and Portuguese football before OGC Nice signed him in 2015. Three outstanding seasons in Ligue 1, including the Marc-Vivien Foé prize for the best African player in 2017, led to a move to Fulham, where he helped them win the Championship in 2022.

Later spells at Hull City and in the Middle East preceded a move to NK Maribor. He was part of Ivory Coast's squad that won the 2023 AFCON and was chosen in the tournament's XI, bringing his total international tally to 65 caps.
