L'histoire
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is a technically accomplished French-born midfielder who joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Strasbourg in 2023, and in August 2025 switched his international allegiance to Haiti, becoming the first player representing Haiti to appear in the Premier League.
Bellegarde came through the RC Lens academy and spent four years at RC Strasbourg from 2019, developing into one of Ligue 1's more dynamic midfielders before Wolverhampton Wanderers signed him ahead of the 2023–24 season.
After representing France at youth level through to the Under-21 side, he chose to switch to Haiti in 2025, going on to earn 10 caps and make history as the first Haiti-affiliated player to feature in the Premier League.
