José Manuel López

José Manuel López, known as 'Flaco López', is an Argentine striker who plays for Palmeiras in the Campeonato Brasileiro and has become one of the top forwards in South American club football. Standing 1.90 m tall, he is a powerful centre-forward known for his finishing and aerial ability.

López came through youth academies including Boca Juniors, Independiente, and Lanús before making his professional debut in 2021. He joined Palmeiras in 2022 and has since accumulated over 119 league appearances for the São Paulo club, winning two consecutive Brazilian championship titles.

He was named Campeonato Paulista top scorer in 2024 and Copa Libertadores top scorer in 2025, earning recognition in the 2025 South American Team of the Year. He made his senior international debut for Argentina and was included in the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
