Lucas Paquetá is a creative Brazilian attacking midfielder who has represented his country 63 times and scored 13 international goals, winning the 2019 Copa América and the 2022-23 UEFA Europa Conference League with West Ham before returning to Flamengo in 2026.
Paquetá came through Flamengo's academy and broke into the first team in 2016, winning the Copa São Paulo and earning a move to AC Milan in 2019. After two seasons in Serie A he joined Lyon in France, where his playmaking ability attracted further attention. West Ham United signed him in 2022 and in his debut season he played a key role in their Europa Conference League triumph.
After 110 appearances and 16 goals for West Ham he rejoined Flamengo in January 2026. At international level he made his senior Brazil debut in 2018, won the Copa América in 2019 and was named to squads for the 2022 and 2026 World Cups. A left-footed natural in the number ten role, he has become one of Brazil's most important attacking outlets.
