Martin Erlic

A tall centre-back from Zadar who established himself in Italian football at Bologna and Sassuolo before moving to Danish club Midtjylland, having earned his first Croatia caps in 2022.

Erlić moved to Italy at age 16, developing through Parma and Sassuolo's systems with loan spells at Südtirol and Spezia before becoming a consistent Serie A defender. He won the Coppa Italia with Bologna in 2024–25 before joining Midtjylland in Denmark. He made his senior Croatia debut on 6 June 2022, choosing to play despite his brother's wedding taking place the same day.

He featured in Croatia's bronze-medal 2022 World Cup campaign, Euro 2024, and 2026 World Cup qualifying, earning 12 caps and 1 goal.
