L'histoire

Mike Maignan is France's first-choice goalkeeper and one of the best in the world. After winning Ligue 1 with Lille in 2020–21, he moved to AC Milan where he led them to the Serie A title in 2021–22 with his outstanding shot-stopping. He has 40 caps for France.

Maignan progressed through PSG's academy before joining Lille in 2015. He won Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2018–19 and helped Lille win the title in 2020–21 with 21 clean sheets. AC Milan signed him for €15 million as Donnarumma's replacement and he delivered an immediate Serie A title win in his debut season.

He displaced Hugo Lloris as France's first-choice goalkeeper and has been a key figure in the national team since 2021, winning the Nations League and reaching the 2022 World Cup final.
