L'histoire
A Dutch midfielder and twin brother of Jurrien Timber. After progressing through Ajax's academy, he moved to FC Utrecht and then Feyenoord, becoming club captain before a transfer to Olympique de Marseille in January 2026.
Timber developed through Ajax's youth system alongside his twin brother before moving to FC Utrecht in 2021, where he was named Player of the Year. Feyenoord signed him in 2022 for €8.5 million, and he won Eredivisie and KNVB Cup medals before being appointed captain in September 2024.
A knee injury and a public dispute with head coach Robin van Persie led to his January 2026 departure to Marseille. He has represented the Netherlands from Under-17 level — winning the 2018 UEFA Under-17 European Championship — up to the senior side, earning 11 caps.
