Sergio Rochet

Sergio Rochet is a Uruguayan goalkeeper who made his name at Club Nacional de Football, winning three Uruguayan league titles and earning individual honours before joining Internacional in Brazil in 2023. He made his senior Uruguay debut in January 2022 and has accumulated 35 caps, featuring at the 2022 World Cup.

Rochet came through Danubio's system and spent three seasons at AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands from 2014, making 51 league appearances, followed by time at Sivasspor in Turkey. He returned to South America to sign for Nacional in 2019, where he became one of the best goalkeepers in Uruguay, winning three league titles and multiple consecutive Team of the Year awards.

Internacional signed him in 2023 and he has made over 75 appearances for the Porto Alegre club. He won the Campeonato Gaúcho in 2025 and remained Uruguay's regular second or third choice keeper through the 2024 Copa América and into World Cup qualifying.
