Sidny Lopes Cabral

Sidny Lopes Cabral is a Dutch-born right-back of Cape Verdean heritage who earned a move to Benfica in 2026 after impressing with Estrela da Amadora. He represents Cape Verde internationally and is the younger brother of Rodny Lopes Cabral.

After youth spells at FC Twente and Helsingborg, Cabral established himself professionally at Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Viktoria Köln in Germany. A loan spell at Estrela da Amadora in Portugal's top flight (15 appearances, 5 goals in 2025–26) earned him a permanent deal with Benfica, where he made 7 appearances.

He has earned 8 caps and 3 goals for Cape Verde since 2023, scoring in World Cup qualifiers.
