Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey is Ghana's most decorated modern midfielder, having won the UEFA Europa League and La Liga with Atlético Madrid and spent five seasons at Arsenal before joining Villarreal. He has earned 58 senior caps and 16 goals for the Black Stars.

Partey joined Atlético Madrid's academy and broke into the first team, making 132 appearances across all competitions and contributing 12 goals. He was a key figure in their 2017–18 Europa League triumph and their 2020–21 La Liga title. Arsenal paid around €50 million for him in 2020 and he made 130 appearances in north London before departing in 2025.

Villarreal signed him ahead of the 2025–26 campaign and he has made 25 appearances for the Spanish club. For Ghana he has earned 58 caps and 16 goals since debuting in 2016, representing the Black Stars at three Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
