Yaimar Medina

Yaimar Medina is a versatile young Ecuadorian defender who won five trophies with Independiente del Valle before joining KRC Genk in Belgium in 2025. He has made his first appearances for Ecuador's senior team.

Medina developed at Independiente del Valle from 2022, collecting the Ecuadorian Serie A, Copa Ecuador, Copa Sudamericana, Supercopa and Recopa Sudamericana in the span of three seasons. Genk then signed him in 2025.

He represented Ecuador at U-20 and U-23 level before earning his first five senior caps between 2024 and 2026.
