Zaid Ismail

Zaid Ismail is an Iraqi defensive midfielder for Al-Talaba and the Iraq national team. He earned senior recognition after establishing himself in the Iraqi top flight.

Ismail gained regular senior football with Diyala before moving to Newroz and then Al-Talaba in January 2024. His performances for Al-Talaba led to a senior Iraq debut at the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup.

He also represented Iraq at under-23 level and was part of the side that finished third at the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
