Zidane Iqbal

Zidane Iqbal is a Manchester-born Iraq international midfielder who plays for Utrecht. He was the first British South Asian to appear in the UEFA Champions League.

Iqbal joined Manchester United's academy at nine and made his first-team debut in a Champions League match in 2021. He transferred to Utrecht in 2023 and progressed from the reserve side into the Eredivisie team.

Eligible through his Iraqi mother, he represented Iraq at under-23 level before making his senior debut in January 2022.
