Dan Burn

Dan Burn is an English centre-back who plays for Newcastle United, one of the tallest defenders in the Premier League at 6 ft 7 in. A late bloomer at international level, he made his England senior debut in March 2025 at the age of 32.

Burn rose through non-league football before Fulham signed him in 2011. He had productive loan spells at Yeovil Town and Birmingham City before establishing himself at Wigan Athletic, where he won League One in 2017–18. After joining Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018, he moved to Newcastle United in January 2022. At Newcastle he became a fan favourite and scored the opening goal in the club's 2025 EFL Cup final victory — Newcastle's first goal at Wembley in decades — earning the Alan Hardaker Trophy as man of the match. He won Newcastle United Player of the Year for 2024–25.
