Marin Pongračić

A versatile Croatian centre-back born in Germany who came through Bayern Munich's academy and went on to play in Austria, Germany, and Italy, joining Fiorentina in Serie A in 2024.

Born to Croatian parents who fled the war, Pongračić grew up near Munich and developed through Bayern's youth system. He established himself professionally at Red Bull Salzburg, winning two Austrian titles and featuring in European competition, before stints at Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund (loan), and Lecce in Serie A. He joined Fiorentina on a permanent basis in July 2024.

Despite being called up to preliminary squads for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, he did not make the final squads for either tournament. He has earned 19 senior Croatia caps.
