Amadou Onana

A towering Belgian defensive midfielder born in Senegal, Onana joined Aston Villa for £50 million in 2024 and won the UEFA Europa League in 2025–26, earning 28 caps for Belgium.

Born in Dakar to a Cameroonian father and Senegalese mother, Onana relocated to Brussels at age 11 and developed through European football in Germany and France before signing for Everton and then Aston Villa. His €50 million move to Villa in 2024 proved transformative as he became a cornerstone of their midfield.

With Aston Villa he won the UEFA Europa League in 2025–26. He has been a regular Belgium international since 2022 and represented the country across multiple tournament campaigns.
