Christoph Baumgartner

An Austrian attacking midfielder and forward who plays for RB Leipzig. Named Austrian Footballer of the Year in 2024, he holds the record for the fastest goal in international football history — scored after just six seconds.

Baumgartner rose through SV Horn and AKA St. Pölten before joining TSG Hoffenheim's youth system. He broke into the Bundesliga in May 2019 and accumulated 121 league appearances and 27 goals across four seasons at Hoffenheim before moving to RB Leipzig on a five-year deal in June 2023.

He has 58 caps and 19 goals for Austria and featured at both Euro 2020 and Euro 2024. In March 2024 he scored against Slovakia after just six seconds, widely reported as the fastest goal in international football history.
