A história

Danilo Luiz da Silva is a veteran Brazilian right-back who won major trophies at Santos, Porto, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus across a storied 13-year European career before returning to Brazil with Flamengo in 2025.

Danilo began his career at América Mineiro and moved to Santos, where he scored the decisive goal in the 2011 Copa Libertadores final against Peñarol. Porto signed him in 2012 and he won back-to-back Primeira Liga titles before Real Madrid purchased him in 2015. At Madrid he won two UEFA Champions League titles and La Liga in 2016-17, then joined Manchester City in 2017 where he added two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two EFL Cups.

Juventus brought him to Turin in 2019, and he won the Serie A title in his first season before serving as club captain in 2023-24. In January 2025 he returned to Brazil to join Flamengo, where he helped the club win their fourth Copa Libertadores title. A long-serving Brazil captain himself, he has represented the national side at two World Cups and multiple Copa América tournaments.
