Dennis Eckert

Dennis Eckert Ayensa is a German-Spanish forward of Iranian descent who chose to represent Iran internationally, playing his club football in Belgium with Standard Liège.

Eckert came through Borussia Mönchengladbach's academy before moving to Spain to join Celta de Vigo's reserve side, eventually making senior appearances for RC Celta. He moved to German club FC Ingolstadt in 2019 and became a reliable scorer there, then joined Belgian side Union SG in 2022, winning the Belgian Cup in 2023–24.

He joined Standard Liège on loan in 2024 before making the move permanent. He was named to Iran's 2026 FIFA World Cup squad, having committed to the country internationally.
