Derek Cornelius

Derek Cornelius is a Canadian centre-back contracted to Marseille and playing on loan at Rangers. His club career has included football in Germany, Serbia, Canada, Greece, Sweden and France.

Cornelius began his senior career in Germany before moving through Javor Ivanjica, Vancouver Whitecaps and Panetolikos. He won consecutive Swedish league titles with Malmo, transferred to Marseille in 2024 and later joined Rangers on loan.

He debuted for Canada in 2018 and has represented the country at the Gold Cup, 2022 World Cup and 2024 Copa America.
