Eray Cömert

Eray Cömert is a Swiss centre-back who developed at FC Basel, making 147 appearances there and winning league and cup honours, before joining Valencia in January 2022.

Cömert came through FC Basel's academy and made his league debut in 2016, winning back-to-back league titles and two cup medals. He became a regular starter during the 2018–19 season and accumulated 147 appearances for the club before a January 2022 transfer to Valencia CF in La Liga.

Since joining Valencia he has gained further European exposure through loan spells at Nantes (2023–24) and Real Valladolid (2024–25). He has 22 caps for Switzerland, having featured in Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
