Jordan Pickford
Detalhes
A história
Jordan Pickford is England's first-choice goalkeeper and one of the longest-serving members of the current squad. Developed through Sunderland's academy and established at Everton since 2017, he has been a key figure in England reaching back-to-back European Championship finals in 2020 and 2024.
Pickford began his football education at Sunderland, progressing through the academy before honing his craft across six loan spells in the Football League. Everton signed him in June 2017 for a then-record fee for a British goalkeeper (approximately £25–30 million), and he has been the club's undisputed number one ever since, winning the Everton Player of the Season award four times.
He made his England debut in November 2017 and has been the national side's first-choice goalkeeper through two World Cups (2018, 2022) and two European Championship campaigns. He was instrumental in England's fourth-place finish at the 2018 World Cup, including a decisive penalty save against Colombia. He has earned 84 England caps with a clean-sheet record befitting a top international goalkeeper.
