Josip Stanišić

A versatile defender born in Munich to Croatian parents who progressed through Bayern Munich's academy and became a reliable squad player at the club, representing Croatia internationally since 2022.

Stanišić grew up in Bavaria and came through Bayern's youth system, making his Bundesliga debut in 2021. A loan season at Bayer Leverkusen in 2023–24 yielded an additional Bundesliga title as Leverkusen went unbeaten. He returned to Bayern and has continued to contribute to the club's domestic success.

He represented Croatia at the 2022 World Cup where the team finished third, and earned 30 senior caps through mid-2026.
