Michel Aebischer

Michel Aebischer is a Swiss defensive midfielder from Fribourg who was part of Young Boys' dominant era, winning three league titles and a cup, before joining Bologna where he earned a Coppa Italia medal and featured at Euro 2024 scoring his first international goal.

Aebischer progressed through Young Boys' academy, debuting in the Swiss Super League in 2016. He was part of the squad that ended a 32-year title drought in 2017–18, going on to win the league twice more and the cup. He transferred to Bologna in January 2022 on a permanent basis.

He was part of Bologna's 2024–25 Coppa Italia-winning side. On the international stage, he scored his first senior Switzerland goal at Euro 2024 against Hungary. He joined Pisa SC on loan in August 2025.
