A história

Miloš Degenek is a Croatia-born centre-back who represents Australia after his family emigrated to Sydney in 2000. He has won four Serbian SuperLiga titles with Red Star Belgrade and earned 57 caps for the Socceroos.

Degenek began his European career with VfB Stuttgart II before moving to 1860 Munich in 2015. He then spent two seasons at Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan, where he was named in the J.League Young Players' Best XI. Stints at Red Star Belgrade followed across multiple windows, with a loan to Al-Hilal in 2019 yielding an AFC Champions League winner's medal. He also had a period at Columbus Crew in MLS.

He moved to APOEL FC in 2026 after a stint at FK TSC. Internationally, Degenek made his senior Australia debut against England in 2016 and featured at the 2017 Confederations Cup, 2022 FIFA World Cup — playing all four matches — and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
