Nadiem Amiri is a German attacking midfielder who built his career at TSG Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen before joining Mainz 05 in 2024, where he has been one of the Bundesliga's most productive players. He won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with Germany in 2017.
Amiri progressed through the academies at Kaiserslautern and Waldhof Mannheim before joining Hoffenheim, where he made his Bundesliga debut in 2015 and accumulated 106 appearances and 11 goals across four seasons. He moved to Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, making 105 further league appearances before a loan spell at Genoa.
Since joining Mainz 05 in January 2024, Amiri has flourished with 71 appearances and 20 goals, earning recognition in the VDV Bundesliga Team of the Season for 2024–25. Internationally, he won the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and has earned 11 senior Germany caps, including participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
