Nicolas Raskin

A Belgian defensive midfielder who joined Rangers in January 2023 for £1.5 million and became the first player born in the 21st century to play in the Belgian Pro League, earning 13 caps for Belgium.

Raskin came through youth academies at Standard Liège and Anderlecht before returning to Standard, where he made his Pro League debut at just 16 — the first player born in the 2000s to do so. He developed into a reliable midfielder over four seasons at Standard.

In January 2023 he transferred to Rangers on a four-and-a-half-year deal for approximately £1.5 million, becoming an important presence in their midfield. He earned his first Belgium call-ups in 2025 and has accumulated 13 caps and 2 goals.
