Romano Schmid

An Austrian attacking midfielder who has spent the majority of his senior career at SV Werder Bremen and has 34 caps for Austria, including appearances at Euro 2024.

Schmid progressed through Sturm Graz's youth system before joining Werder Bremen in 2019, with a loan at Wolfsberger AC in 2019–20. He has been a regular Bundesliga performer for Werder since 2021.

He made his Austria debut against France in September 2022 and scored his first international goal against the Netherlands at Euro 2024. He has 34 caps and 3 goals.
