Alessandro Circati

Alessandro Circati is an Italian-born Australian centre-back who developed through Parma's academy and became Australia's youngest captain since 1981 when he was appointed in September 2025 at age 21.

Born in Fidenza, Italy, Circati developed through Perth Glory's youth system before trialling at English clubs and joining Parma in 2022. He made his professional debut in Serie B in February 2022 and played 32 matches as Parma won promotion to Serie A in the 2023–24 season.

Originally a youth international for Italy, he switched to represent Australia in June 2023. He made his competitive debut in June 2024 and was named Socceroos captain in September 2025, becoming the fourth youngest captain in the team's history.
